It was way larger than DoodStream and it was taken down by a lawsuit

I am building a video-hosting site like YouTube where people share their videos, I am thinking of using a service like DoodStream but the problem with sites like this is they come and go

Do you recommend I use services like DoodStream? Is it reliable? Or should I just get a good hosting server and self-host videos?
