Hello everyone ! Hopes you’re all good ! I just wanted to ask after researches, I wanna build a homeserver, I already have a Dell T110 II, and I bought a … kind of monster, a 24U bay with 9 Storwize V7000 with 200TO inside, but … I think I was too hungry. 800kg that I can’t use, sincerely … (If someone is interested, ask me, or if you know how to access just … to the client 😂)

So, I wanted an intermediary : putting my Dell config outside the case, and place it in a case where I can put my config with up 8 to 10 disks. I seen many options, but between cheap cases and 1000€ ones, I don’t know … Do you have any recommendations ? Or models with config that can do this, same as the Dell one or little higher, i’m open to suggestions. That’s the first thing.

The second is about disks : in the storwize, there are SAS disks, is there any way to use them in the config I would like to use and expand ? Linked to the first question, a case/adapters that are adaptables to my case (very redundant)…?

Sorry for these newbies questions, I’m starting in the selfhosting, so I hope it’s not a “big newbie” thread …
