I use Playstation remote play using the PSPlay Android app on a Logitech Gcloud.
After about 30 minutes the stream freezes. Then I can no longer connect to the Playstation until I toggle aeroplane mode on and back off (which reconnects the wifi). Then I’m good for another 30 minutes. What’s weird is that in the broken state I can browse the internet just fine. But reconnecting to the PS doesn’t work until I restart the wifi.
The r7000p has the internet coming in. On ethernet I have a FritzBox 7530 I believe, in bridge mode to extend the wifi with same SSID and settings. Turning the second router off makes no difference. I use a pihole raspberry pi for DNS.
I reached out to the PSPlay folks but they say there’s something wrong with my network. Strangely I have no complaints except for this.
Years ago I disabled MIMO on this router, or whatever that’s called again. It was causing lockups. I think QoS is enabled.
Any idea on what I can try to fix this issue? What is going on here?
I think next I’ll disable the radio on the r7000p and purely use the bridge router. I could make it the primary router, I’ve just avoided this to not have to reconfigure everything. And also because this other router has no external antenna so maybe the range will be worse.
update: I also live near an airport. But I’ve noticed no other problems.
