Hi all,
I received a letter in the mail saying I went over the speeding limit and that the fine is 194,85 euros. They say I can pay a reduced amount of 142,95 euros if I pay “within FIVE days of objection or notification of the fine”. The thing is, I’m not sure if they mean 5 days after I receive this letter or 5 days after they issued/mailed it? It says they mailed it out on March 14, 2024. It doesn’t mean 5 days after speeding right? I did receive an email from Sicily by Car car back in September of 2023 notifying me of this, and I had mistakenly thought that the charge that the car rental charged me with was the fine for speeding. Does anyone know what the five days is referring to?
