I work in Windows and Linux throughout the day, switching frequently. I’m still a Linux novice though.
Mostly it’s great, but the terminal experience is eating away at my soul. Windows Terminal behaves largely like any modern text editor. I can hold shift to highlight; end, shift+home highlights the entire line. Home takes me to the start of the line, end takes me to the end. Ctrl+c copies when text is highlighted and Ctrl+v pastes…
Are you all just smart enough to contextually update your shortcuts in your head when you change from application to application? Is there another terminal that would give me more control and allow me to get the Windows Terminal style behavior on Ubuntu?
Preferences/ Shortcuts only has a few options and won’t get meb the behavior I want. Is some of it handled by the current shell?
