Criteria:

  • I drive about 15K miles per year
  • Looking for something more comfortable (to sit in, and to drive) than my current 2012 Civic
  • Looking for something a bit more fun than my Civic
  • “Ideally” looking for something I can drive into the ground, but I am open to lease or other options
  • Looking for AWD or 4WD as I can find myself needing to drive in the snow sometimes (reside in a snow belt)
  • Preferably low maintenance cost, and regular gas
  • Monthly payment <$750 (will come back to this in a further section)
  • If used, no more than average miles per year

Currently:

  • This criteria has all led to me to a 2021 or newer Acura TLX
  • I have also been eying late model Outbacks and/or WRX

The ask:

  • Financing a 2021-2023 Acura for 4-5 years is in the $750/month range
  • Leasing a 2024 for 3-4 years is similar price
  • My S/O wants to consider cheaper options (they are only budget focused)

Is there anything else I should be considering given the above?
