As the title says, I’m planning on overclocking my 2x 32Go Kingston Fury Beast 6000 CL30 while using a Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The thing is, I have no clue on what to do since I never did any of the sort… You can see the full build here: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/GgP3Wc Couple questions here:
- Did somebody already did it, with the same setup?
- I am currently following that guy on the how-to: https://youtu.be/dlYxmRcdLVw?si=KCyE85ypxMy9uzQZ Did anything change about the stability since that time?
- Am I better to try to down volt the CPU first?
- Any tips on the procedure? I will be installing the memory test app he is referring too and some benchmark app for the CPU and GPU, since I have not done any tuning yet. Thank you in advance!
The reason why I want to overclock my RAM and down volt my CPU is because it is my first time trying to build a mid-hight end PC and at this price, I really only want to use at full potential in gaming… Nothing too serious here, but still…
PS. I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about overclocking :(
Picture of my M.2 speed only for attention.
