Hello, my financial situation is slightly precarious and I can’t afford to buy a new monitor, I bought one for about 35 dollars, the model is Viewsonic 2250 series, the problem is that the buttons that open the menu like contrast, volume, brightness, etc, have a damaged touch (it’s not a button, it’s a touch that activates this menu) so I constantly have the settings menu and it’s too annoying, of course since it’s used it doesn’t have a warranty.
A friend suggested that I could open the case and check and disconnect the section that makes these buttons functional, but honestly, I don’t have the slightest idea how to do it.
Would someone be so kind as to guide me? I even tried something I read in the model’s manual on the internet about disabling something called OSD but since the button is failing it’s impossible to do this correctly.
I was wondering if someone would know what I’ll see when I open the monitor and what I have to disconnect, without damaging anything permanently.
