I booked a trip to Portugal for 9 nights.
First 5 nights in Lisbon, last 4 nights in Porto. Trying to make the most out of this trip, but I don’t want to overwhelm ourselves.
Here is the plan I was thinking of:
Lisbon: Day 1: Explore Baixa/Chicago
Day 2: Explore Alfama
Day 3: Sintra Daytrip
Day 4: Belem & Cascais Daytrip (Can we easily do both in one day or would it be rushed? I was thinking about just moving Cascais to Day 5 and skipping Evora.)
Day 5: Evora Daytrip
Porto: Day 6: Explore Porto
Day 7: Explore Porto
Day 8: Douro Valley - For this I am not sure how to plan it since we are not getting a car, and we are not really interested in wine tasting. We are more interested in the landscapes and some easy hikes if there are any. I was also thinking about skipping it entirely. If you have any suggestions here, let me know.
Day 9: Braga and Guimarães Daytrip (Can we easily do both in one day?)
Let me know if you have any suggestions to improve the itinerary. It is our first time going to Europe so this is all new to me.
