Trying to figure out how to take quality photos of slabs for my company’s website (we will hopefully eventually use these with an interactive for our website too).
For example, I’m having trouble with a color like Calacatta Clio (a bright white) and when taking photos the white is darker than it looks in-person and the veining is so faint and I would like it to be as detailed as possible. I’m intermediate in editing in Lightroom/Photoshop so adjusting exposure hasn’t helped either.
We have Stone Vision scanner set up in the warehouse- but the scans are very low resolution, even though we have the A-frame, green screen, 2 lights on each side and Canon camera. Is anyone familiar with this set up?
Anyway, I’m trying to get the quality as good as how the industry leaders do (we all know who they are)! I hope this post will help other small G&M businesses to evolve with their tech too. Thanks in advance for your responses.
