Hey everyone, I just built my new PC 9800X3D, 64GB RAM, and all that good stuff—but I’m still missing a GPU. I’m trying to decide between:

  1. RX 7900 XTX (which is more or less available)
  2. RTX 5080 (waiting a few months)
  3. RTX 5090 (also waiting a few months)

If money wasn’t a factor, what would you do? Would you grab the 7900 XTX now or wait for a next-gen 5080/5090?

Also, I’d really like to test ray tracing for myself to form my own opinion and not at 30 FPS if possible. Curious to hear your thoughts!

EDIT : 1440p gaming (maybe 4k one day)

EDIT 2 : let’s add some prics (France)

RX 7900 XTX (available now for around 900–1,200€ (~$960–1,280 USD))

RTX 5080 (waiting a few months, estimated at 1,200–1,800€ (~$1,280–1,920 USD))

RTX 5090 (waiting a few months, estimated at 2,500–3,500€ (~$2,670–3,740 USD))
