I picked up a GTX 980 Ti back in summer 2015 for $670, which is about $890 in today’s money after adjusting for inflation. Just grabbed a 5070 Ti for $909, which is arguably the third-best card of this generation.
Yeah, GPU prices are high, but looking at it this way, they haven’t skyrocketed as much as people make it seem. Sure, flagship cards are getting crazy expensive, but the high-end tier has always been pricey. Performance jumps and features like DLSS and RT also make these newer cards way more capable than their older counterparts.
Just food for a thought.
