So big fan of a certain cheap products, had all sorts of products with decent success, art materials and tools, embroidered patches, craft kits etc. Only thing I’ve had poor luck with is clothing which even if they say “UK/US/EU sizing” they rarely are and run small, prints are poor and plastic,

Generally gone with the policy of avoiding tech stuff though…until a recommendation came up for a 256 TB (terabyte) external SSD came up for £15 ish. which sure fully expected it to not be that capacity but even if it is a fraction it could still be quite a bargain.

It came, pretty quickly too, warily plugged it in. It reports itself as 2 122TB drives which tbh is about the loss of actual storage you’d expect buying any, and fair enough they put 2 drives in to make up the space. But other then that it seems to be right, no errors reporting with windows. no shady files I could see already on them.

But still it seems too good to be true and I’ve not actually tried anything with them yet in case that causes something horrid. I guess I could start with copying (not moving) some large files over to see transfer and how it fills like if a 1gb file somehow takes up 122tb.

But thought I’d ask any tasks/checks I could do on them that might be wise?
