The in-laws live in a very rural town where they only have internet on their cell phones, at a high cost.
I have Plex at home and they love the looks of it, but obviously that won’t work for them.
Is there a device, like a miniPC with HDMI connection that I could use with a very simple interface where I can just drop a bunch of files on a USB drive, or microSD card, and plug it in, and it shows a list of the files and they can play it? I could download metadata at home, then hand them the gadget, they plug it in their TV and play the movies/files off of local storage?
In my mind, something like a FireTV stick stick with 512GB of space, with Jellyfin server-&-client on it.
Does that exist, or is there a way to roll my own?
