I was reading about Dąbrowski’s positive disintegration theory and I immediately went to the finale of Gravity where Ryan to be able to get back to Earth, had to be blown off to so many pieces. The whole movie was filled with metaphors but this one takes the cake. The most majestic moment for me in the film was when this shot came to be:

And I do remember being uplifted at this exact moment whenever I watched this film and I remember thinking to myself “what a glorious way to come back to life”, but now it makes much more sense why Cuaron chose this.

This film never stops to amaze me.
