Hello all, I’m using ubuntu LTS 24.04 on my dell g15 5525 laptop with nvidia rtx 3050 and processor amd 6600H, I’m facing a problem with brightness control, nothing changes even if i try to switch brightness from top right menu option, also when charger is plugged out or in brightness changes to low and i can’t change it anymore. I have to restart my laptop to get brightness at normal.
What I’ve Tried:
- Soft-Brightness-Plus GNOME Extension: This extension used to work fine, but after a recent update, it stopped functioning correctly.
- Terminal Adjustments: Attempts to change the brightness via the terminal have been unsuccessful.
- Kernel Parameter (
acpi_backlight=video
): Adding this parameter didn’t resolve the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a workaround? Any suggestions or tips to regain proper brightness control would be greatly appreciated!
