I’m new to Debian after using Ubuntu on my main personal machine for a couple of years, at least. I recently installed Debian 12 on a ten-year-old Panasonic laptop, and I was pretty surprised everything worked so well, and without any additional driver installation. I did make a couple of small adjustments after some lockups, but now everything seems to be working well.

I have another old Lenovo laptop that I’m planning on installing a distro on, and am planning on trying Debian 12 first. It’s not a model listed on this page as one which supports the provided distros.

I’m just wondering: In your experience, are there machines you have tried to load Debian on to which did not work? Have you heard anything about specific models or hardware not being compatible with it?
