So DLSS transformer model was released yesterday for cyberpunk 2077 alongside the rtx 5090, and i got to see how it performes in my 3090. It is absolutely horrible.
This is 1440p dlss performance mode path tracing with the performance path tracing optimization mod. RTX 3090 + ryzen 5700x3d. the new Transformer model consistently delivers -20/25% performance. It’s very strange because some things like the ray reconstruction are mildly better with transformer, but there are new added artifacts in exchange.
