Hello everyone! I was just wondering if you could share any tips for taking pictures at a birthday event! I’ve been doing photography (mostly for school photojournalism and landscape) for 4 years. My best friend is asking me to be the photographer for her newborn son’s 1st birthday this weekend, and the venue will be inside. I told her the only equipment I have is an external flash, 55mm lens, and 28-200 lens. She says its okay as long as I take pictures. I’ve never done event photography, especially a birthday event for the newborn. I thought this would be a good opportunity for me to expand my horizons so I was just asking for your tips on how to take good photos, or whether I have enough equipment.
