TLDR is the title. Here are the details:

I decided it’s time for a new PC. My last build was fairly high-end, but it was five years ago, so my knowledge is out of date.

I don’t do much gaming, and video card prices are ridiculous, so I decided to just go with the integrated graphics in the Ryzen 9900x (if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just use my old video card). I’m pairing it with a Gigabyte Aorus X870 Elite Wifi7, which has two USB4 Type C ports that the manual says can be used for DisplayPort connectors to the monitor.

A lot of monitors advertise that they have USB-C connectors that provide 60 watts of power or whatever, but most don’t explicitly say that they can be used as DisplayPorts.

So my question is, can I assume that a USB-C port on a monitor will work for DisplayPort graphics, or does it have to be explicit?
