When the cursor (or any other small, white element) is on a sufficiently large black area it becomes really dim.

When a decently large black area moves on a bright background it leaves a dark yellow trail behind it.

When on a grey background (especially if it’s a gradient), moving the pointer creates a weird flickering halo around it.

When looking at one of those test videos with moving white squares and circles, I can distinguish the individual zones inside of the shapes because they’re not changing brightness smoothly enough.

Changing the local dimming intensity can improve some of these while worsening others, so there’s no easy fix. Of course, they all disappear if I disable local dimming.

I just wanted to know whether my unit is defective or it is a common algorithm limitation for this model
