I am a newbie to Ubuntu. I own Asus ZenBook 14 Pro Duo.

I had very poor battery life with Windows and wanted to experience and learn Linux so I switched.

As my laptop comes with two displays and I wanted to use only the primary one and not the secondary one. I changed the display settings on ubuntu and set the second display to off.

But the actual problem is, there is a subtle difference between turning off the second display from ubuntu and windows. That is the backlit panel of the second display. In windows, it will be pitch black, but on ubuntu even with turned off setting, it has fully on backlit. Which is very easy to notice. And I think it might drastically use battery power.

I want a solution to turn this off totally.

Tried xrandr command on terminal but didn’t work, eDP-1 is my primary display and DP-1 is the secondary display which I need to turn it off.

Any solutions?
