Pardon the newb question but How can I utilize storage space inside my ubuntu server install without reinstalling the computer.

Background:

I utilize an old Dell Optiplex computer that I have installed Proxmox on. I have 3 VM’s running on it, all Ubuntu Server. 1 with a GUI the other 2 do not have the GUI. I am primarily using 1 of these servers for Plex, and apparently when I installed the VM I gave it a low amount of storage.

After realizing that I had over 500gb’s of free space and that I was not going to use all this space, I upped the storage for the VM to 80gb’s. However, the Ubuntu server is still only using the original 30 or so gig’s.

This is causing issues with my Plex server as it’s saying I don’t have enough storage for playback.

Can anyone help me understand, how can I up the storage space used by ubuntu server, either GUI or through the Command Line.
