TL;DR current consumerism culture is bad.
Just saw the latest 5080/90 pricing for 3rd party cards.
No. From the highest altitude, fuuuuu you Jensen. Your key note was out of touch, stupid, and cringe.
There is no reason other than absolute greed and hubris. I don’t expect things to cost nothing and be free and plentiful to all. I do like to see honesty and customer loyalty. But to Nvidia, customer loyalty only flows from the customer towards Nvidia in the form of money. Nobody asked for higher prices.
Same goes for basically any major corporation. Don’t buy these cards, dont buy that new thing just because company head said so. We are all getting royally screwed from every which way financially. Ever since Covid locked down the world companies saw just how completely stupid, irresponsible, and desperate an average person is for luxury goods. Companies saw the amount of money scalpers were making and so adjusted their pricing across the board in all sectors, except Arizona Tea (based).
Ps. I’m not broke. I have a brain that says consumerism has jumped the shark a long time ago and we are living in a corporate wet dream. People will financially destroy themselves to ensure they get Starbucks every morning.
