You can still transfer your game titles and progress to the new app, though.

Fuck I was so excited for a minute. I thought they were finally giving up on their shitty launcher but they made a fucking new one.

I love battlefield, but I don’t play it because I’m not have another fucking launcher.

Same with Ubisoft. I love farcry but I don’t play it because of their stupid fucking launcher.

GTA I wanna play more of but they have a stupid fucking launcher.

If your game is on steam it shouldn’t ship with another launcher.

  • I’m surprised it was even still able to be used. Last time I went to check out what I even had on my EA library and launched Origin, it wouldn’t let me do anything but get the new EA Play app.

I mean, you still own the games, you just won’t be able to access them through Origin. You have to download a different launcher. I don’t think you really have to do anything else to “migrate”.

I just want to point out that you own nothing in a digital store.

Unless it’s GOG, then you own the installers you’ve downloaded. Not on the intellectual property sense, but in the physical sense, as in you literally have them stored somewhere.
