Hello, as the title says, I have recently been experiencing some stuttering in game, and was hoping someone here would be able to help.

My specs are

CPU: R9 7950X

GPU: RTX 4090

RAM: 4x 16GB ADATA DDR5-5600 CL36

MOBO: ROG B650-A Gaming Wifi

PC was purchased used, however the MOBO and GPU had been replaced with new parts with windows 11 reinstalled following MOBO replacement.

I noticed the stutter especially bad while starting Dead Space, and launched a much less intense game to see if the stutter persisted. It did. (Less intense game was Halls of Torment for anyone interested) The stutter seemed to happen system-wide, as when they occured, I would notice the stutter on both monitors, including the main monitor, as well as my friends’ discord streams.

Nothing seems to be hitting 100% capacity, or thermal throttle limits.

I rebooted my system to be greeted by the American Megathreads screen, and adjusted my EXPO profile from EXPO II to EXPO I I had previously had instability with EXPO II (Tweaked) and had gone with EXPO II. There seemed to be some instability here and there, but never seemed to be this bad.

After trying some games out on EXPO I, the stuttering is much less noticable, and in most games wasn’t noticable anymore. The issue persists in Dead Space, but is less intense, and less frequent.

I have also since uninstalled iCUE and Armory Crate, which also seemed to help mitigate some of the stuttering.

Is there anything else I should try? Do I need to upgrade my RAM? Is this now just an issue with Dead Space?

I have found according to AMD the 7950X max supported RAM speed is 4x5200, but I have also seen plenty of posts in which other users are able to run 6000 or 6400 MT/s without this issue, even with lower end GPUs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
