There was a wicked windstorm earlier tonight. I had just heard really strong winds. The kind where you sit in your house & hope all your shingles aren’t blowing off your roof. Previously it was mild winds & heavy, long lasting rain. So I notice 1 of my outside Christmas lights is out, & go out to check on it. I then discover that my 6 foot, blow-up Christmas Minion isn’t in the yard !! I head towards the street to see if I can find it. I end up finding it in the driveway ! Now for perspective, this thing has one of those heavy blower bases, which is anchored onto the ground with 4 metal stakes & the Minion itself is anchored in four places. When I retrieved it from the driveway it was still plugged in to the extension cord. That is probably the only reason it didn’t blow away. I’m really peeved with myself for not bringing it in, or at least turning it off. Then this wouldn’t have happened.

My question is: When I got it inside, it still works & amazingly the interior light bulbs aren’t broken . However, there is a tear in the top of it. About 10-12 inches long, with a smaller tear (about 4 inches long) extending from the side of the large tear. I’m wondering if I can repair it ? If so, with what ? Has anybody out there ever repaired one of these ? I really can’t afford another one. Besides, I bought this for my Mom a number of years ago. She loved it ! She has since passed away, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me.
