I’m trying to think of movies where someone changes who they are or experiences unexpected emotional growth during the course of the film. Sort of adhering to the New Year/New Me idea in a way. So far have come up with About Schmidt, How Stella Got her Groove Back, Upgrade, The Substance, Freaky and The Fly. Seems like it could really be open to interpretation and yield a lot of fun ideas as well!
