Not sure if this is really the right subreddit but I’m sure y’all are smarter than me lmao

So, I recently picked up a Super Micro X9SRH-7F setup with a Xeon E5-2620 v2 and 48GB of RAM (6 8GB DIMMS) to replace my DS120j. It came housed in a tiny case (AICSYS WMC-704) that barely held one 3.5" drive which obviously isn’t great for being a storage server, so I decided to move it into an old Zalman GS1000SE case I had sitting around as it’s got plenty of drive bays for my current needs/use.

Here comes the problem, everything worked fine when it was in the AICSYS case, but now moved into the Zalman case, it’s getting stuck during system initialization and giving me a B7 code. After doing some reading on other forums, I discovered B7 is usually a RAM error, so I went through multiple recommendations involving removing/cleaning/reconfiguring the DIMMS to no avail, came across another thread that mentioned a B7 and B9 code and a lot of replies were saying they had great success fixing those and similar issues by simply reseating the CPU, so I gave that a try as well and again, didn’t solve my problem, I’ve also tried clearing the CMOS via the jumper pads as well as removing the battery.

Which leads me here where, hopefully, someone much smarter than I can help be figure this out. I’m certainly not new to PC building so I’m fairly certain nothing was damaged or broken during the transplant, but this is my first foray with more commercial/enterprise grade equipment and I’m not sure where to go from here, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!😁
