After seeing a recent video on LTT about 20TB drives on serverpartdeals.com being around $200CAD I checked the website out for myself. Australian dollars have about the same value as Canadian dollars so the price should have been very close but on the serverpartdeals website the price for 20TB drives was around $400AUD at the lowest going way, way up (over $1000) for some drives.

Why is there such a big difference from what LTT legitimately showed in the video?

They said that they paid retail, that the video was not sponsored and they didn’t get any preferential pricing.

Also I just checked for price and availability of 500GB SATA SSD’s and most of the prices I saw were around $700. There were a few drives that were around $110 but that price is more then retail for a new drive.

This makes absolutely no sense. Are the prices bugged on the serverpartdeals website?
