All,

I have a very weird situation that I need help with. I upgraded my home internet recently to 2000/2000 fiber, and I upgraded my NIC to a 2.5gb ethernet adapter. I’m running straight Cat6 to the 10GB port in the router, and run speedtest.net. I get 2.1 down, and (here’s where it gets crazy) my upload STARTS at 1900’ish then moves it’s way down gradually to 400. Wife’s computer does the same thing.

HOWEVER…

When I plug in my work laptop, (it’s only 1gb ethernet) it gets the full 1000/1000.

Things I have tried:

  1. Reinstall Windows 11 on a clean drive.
  2. Checked group policy on the local machine to see if there was any limiting.
  3. Rebooted more times than I can count.
  4. Booted in Safe Mode w/ Networking
  5. Disabled all running services except Microsoft ones, and disabled everything in startup.
  6. Flushed DNS, winsock, etc.
  7. Reinstalled NIC drivers

Please help. This is driving me INSANE trying to figure out what’s going on.
