I am currently running 22.04 and want to go to 24.04. I usually just run the installer and wipe my ‘/’ partition but don’t format /home. I’ve been reading several posts here and there and from what I gather, the new installer doesn’t give you the option to NOT format a /home partition. I have the entire partition backed up as I do that regularly. So my question is can I run a clean install on the root partition but not format the home partition. In case it isn’t clear, they are 2 separate partitions. I also am not running an uefi boot, rather a BIOS boot which is the way I would like to continue doing it
