Traveling to Mexico City in a few weeks and I got sucked into the rabbit hole of where to actually exchange currency. Many say just use an ATM however it’s not making sense to me.

I bank with Bank of America (USA). I know about the Scotiabank partnership and non-fees yada yada yada. But there is still a 3% foreign transaction fee for the withdrawal. If I order the Pesos from BoA before leaving, their fee is .0024 cents mark up from live rates (1 peso = .5024). Seems like a no brainer to just order it. Am I wrong?
