My pc randomly shuts down while playing more damanding games, it would work perfectly fine for an hour and then pc would just shut off (no blue screen, error messages etc.). At first I thought my PSU is failing but my friend tells my it’s the GPU because it runs very hot (about 80 degrees celsius, and 110 junction) and it downclocks itself and wont use more than about 150-160w. When I decided to undervolt it to 920 mV temperatures dropped HEAVILY. My junction temps in Baldur’s Gate 3 went from above 100 °C to 74 °C but my friend tells me it is not safe to use it that way because it is still a failing GPU, and when it finally dies, it may take some of my other components. Also, when I played games while it was undervolted I had no sudden shut downs even after 4 hour sessions of gaming. My CPU temps are very normal, never going above 70 °C under load. So I guess my question is: is it a GPU or PSU problem and is my GPU safe to use this way. Thanks for any help :)

My specs are:

Ryzen 5 5600

Artic Freezer e34 duo

Aorus Elite B550 V2

Riotoro onyx 650w PSU

RX 6800 powercolor fighter
