I’d be interested to hear from a true believer on this. I see a fundamental and insurmountable problem that i believe will make the mass adoption of bitcoin impossible. That problem is its capacity to process transactions. Bitcoin can process 7 transactions per second. As far as I’m aware, no one disputes that number. Visa alone processes some tens of thousands of transactions per second. I’ve seen that number as low as 1,700 but the exact number is not important. If visa is to be believed regarding their reported max capacity, they can process all of the transactions possible in a day with bitcoin in fewer than 10 seconds. How does Bitcoin scale up to be mass adopted as a currency when it can only process of fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the transactions that a single payment processor currently does? I think there’s money to be made on Bitcoin. I recently bought for the first time at 92k a few weeks ago. I just don’t see it as a viable alternative to USD. CHANGE MY MIND BITCOIN BELIEVERS!
