Best way i can describe the problem is whenever my device on the internet is downloading something latency on the entire internet shoots up but only when its download speeds are capped or slow. (Say like 2MB/s for example) But whenever anything is downloading at high or max speeds it wont affect latency at all. (40MB/s)

Download speed also sits at 2MB/s for a long time and then slowly ramps up to 40 after a while of downloading. I don’t typically download things during the day and neither do most of the people in the house but what does become a problem is whenever anything is streaming which my parents do a lot of, or whenever playing a game that streams in assets as you play.

Not sure if this is just an isp or a hardware problem as we did just get a replacement modem which hasnt helped. The modem runs off of coaxial cable which is wired through ethernet to a plume wifi pod that’s included with the internet package which is wired to the pc I’m testing this all on. The problem started happening about a year back and has only gotten worse from then.
