Before diving into building computers, I started with a prebuilt system. Once I learned the basics of PC building, I volunteered with 4-H, assisting in an electronics recycling program. The program focused on collecting old, ‘broken’ devices and sending them to a recycling company in exchange for funds. Occasionally, we’d come across an newer PC, which we would disassemble for parts, but most were 6–8 years old and no longer had much usable value.
Currently, my setup consists of:
- 16GB of DDR4 RAM
- GTX 1650
- Intel i3-12100F
I mainly play games like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Minecraft, and Farming Simulator. However, I’ve noticed that my CPU frequently hits 100% usage, even when playing games that aren’t particularly demanding. Because of this, I’m considering upgrading my CPU.
Any advice or feedback on what to upgrade would be greatly appreciated!
