If you’re setting up a NAS home server to operate as backup storage / a media server, etc. Why do some prefer Proxmox on bare metal as opposed to one of the many NAS OSes that support virtualization? I guess in my mind it seems redundant to have an OS designed for virtualization on bare metal with a NAS OS (that probably supports virtualization) virtualized. But I’m very much a noob and really just trying to learn. I don’t know what I don’t know and am trying to fill my knowledge gaps.
