As in the need to upload your ID for the purposes of accessing sites meant only for adults. Is this present in any specific states, or is this currently only present in countries outside the US? I have tried researching this specific topic, but there is practically no information about it.
I’m interested in this as I have recently been informed that a certain site will only be available in my state starting next year if one chooses to upload a state ID for login. With this notification was some information about other potential future options that could be adopted for age verifications purposes. Specifically, Device-Level Verification via Apple or Google accounts. While this is clearly not a universal option that is available in the US, I noticed that Google did have a page for uploading one’s ID for age verification. But when I clicked on the link on the page to do so it stated that I didn’t need to verify anything with my ID. So I was wondering, since this page technically exists, if this is currently an option being applied in other locations? Or is it more like a test site by Google that has yet to be fully deployed?
As well, if some sort of verification is forced for Google Accounts could that lead to the deletion of non-verified accounts? I have two Gmails, so if I have to verify one in the future, then I clearly wouldn’t be able to verify the second one.
Thanks for the help.
