I just upgraded my any cubic printer to a direct drive hotend, I’m concerned with the hot end melting part of the mount. At the closest the mount, printed in PLA, is about 1 cm away from the hot end. Is there any material that could be used to shield the mount from the heat created by the hot end. I’m not sure if the shielding would actually prevent the plastic from melting. In hindsight the mount should have been made with PETG but even with a more temperature resistant material the hot and is still very close to the mount. Thank you guys in advance.
