They still get the advertising revenue, commercials, views and everything from websites and do not have to allow comments, so why are main sites like Bilibili for Chinese shows (and others) etc. rejecting anyone outside of the area from viewing most of the TV series they air?
I am currently hunting for a Korean show that I got halfway through and it disappeared… It was actually really interesting other than a little cliche drama and lots of flashbacks woven in, so it is hard to let this go.
(The Guest, Horror, 2021. 9/16 episodes and kisskh.la had a seizure and cannot play it anymore after 10 hours of binging.)
EDIT:
A response: Save your outrage. China literally steals everything it can, fake Disney resorts, fake everything luxury, literally everything. We are on a PIRACY SUBREDDIT so save the condescension… Not biased just honest about practices, it happens, prove me wrong and I will not say anything again, so a Chinese site saying I cannot watch a Korean show because they don’t want my American outrage at censorship when I could easily be blocked from leaving any replies is complete fabrication of country rights and censorship.
