I recently switched from NordVPN to AirVPN for several reasons a major reason being port forwarding. I used to run Nord with killswitch enabled with Deluge, both directly installed via Debian packages. I know now that that’s not the most secure option but it worked for me at the time and never had an IP leak.
Well I’m moving to a more secure set up and I’m having some trouble with AirVPN. I switched from Deluge to qBit and I’m running AirVPN wireguard config and qBit via gluetun in a docker compose. I’ve got qBit bound to my AirVPN and I’ve got port forwarding set up in my client area on AirVPN as well as my gluetun config. When I start everything, it all connects correctly. But after several days, maybe a week, things will stop downloading and I get connection refused when I test the port in my client area.
I’m not sure if it’s something I haven’t configured correctly or if it’s an AirVPN thing. If it’s an AirVPN thing, is there some kind of script or something I can run to keep my port forward connection alive. Any help in fine tuning my setup would be greatly appreciated!
