Hi All –
Typically, I’ve gone with mid/upper-mid range builds, but this time I’m going all out since I’m in a solid spot financially. With that, while I’ve had experience building before, I have NOT had experience overclocking anything.
I’ve been in some of Buildzoid’s videos while I was learning what kind of RAM to get, of which I went with this set (I am a browser monster, so I felt like 64 was the way to go, happy to be corrected) - https://youtu.be/2-LqWdvoFLY?t=2319
The REAL question I have though, is I posted in r/buildapc asking what kind of board I should go for to have the potential to OC the 9800x3D, and I got a few response (About half of the responses in total though) saying that CPU overclocking wasn’t really resulting in much performance gain these days? Any thoughts on this?
FWIW, I was looking at the NZXT N7 B650e (Although if I can go back on that given recent controversy, since I’m still in the return window, I will), or the ASUS ROG Strix x670E-A, since it was the same price. Thanks!
