Last week I was rear ended and although the guy who rear ended me had extensive damage to his car (broken headlights, possible engine damage, etc.) my car sustained minimal damage except for a rear bumper and some body damage, which although I seethed over, waiting to hear from his insurance company, I knew was not serious. I went to the back of my car every day to inspect the damage, wondering if there was something I missed. Well, today, I went out and found that the fender had been somehow “sucked” back into its original position although it’s clear that there was a collision. Not only that, but the metal dent had also been “sucked” into place as if a ghost body shop had done cursory work on my car. Keep in mind that the weather had not changed and I can’t explain this. I still need to have my hood repaired from the accident, but I am mystified as to how dents can disappear overnight.
