Hi,

I’m running 7600 with its stock cooler. It was hot at 95c during cinebench and cpu intensive games like cyberpunk. I was considering to replace the cooler with something cheap like thermalright ax120 se or ak120 se, and expected the temp dropped by 20c.

However, I started undervolting it and found really good result.

  1. co -30, pbo auto, thermal throttle limit 90c, cinebench score: 13918
  2. co -30, pbo auto, thermal throttle limit 85c, cinebench score: 13450
  3. co -50, pbo auto, thermal throttle limit 85c, cinebench score: 14269
  4. co -50, pbo auto, thermal throttle limit 85c, overclock +200, cinebench score: 14187, single core 1827

I saw other people with better cooler can get +15000 score, but not much difference, especially during gaming.

-30 is definitely stable, no crash at all. I’m trying -50 and it seems fine so far. And the temp is between 60 to 70 in cyberpunk.

I’m hesitating whether I should upgrade the cooler now. It’s just $20 CAD, but I’m not sure how much better performance or lower temperature I can gain.
