On 10th of November, I got a obvious phishing sms message on my private phone number. I don’t sign up for random shit and very rarely give away my actual number and this typically means I never get ads or phishing texts.

I was kinda shocked to see that I got a phishing sms text about Netflix when I had fairly recently subscribed for Netflix membership. Is it true that Netflix is selling customer details to data brokers? (my guess is yes because most are doing it) Or is it more likely that its just a coincidence?

I never signed up to services like Incogni or deleteme.
