I bought a brand new Google Pixel 8a in a shop (owned by one of the big mobile network operator company where I live) November the 5th. When I started to check the settings, I noticed something strange: there was a Wi-Fi data usage in September. How is it possible if the phone was supposed switched off (with factory setting)?
Just a clarification: the day I bought the Pixel, I turned it on and connected it to my other phone’s mobile broadband. However, I didn’t do the set up and turned if off right away because the battery was low. It’s only a few hours later that I really started the installation process. Is it the reason why 64 bits were used (considering the real date wasn’t defined yet)?
