So I have a very stupid question (maybe not stupid). When you overclock the 9800x3d, does the clock speed lock to your overclock speed? I.E. regardless of whatever you are doing (even idle on desktop), when you overclock to 5.4Ghz, will the frequency will always stay at 5.4Ghz no matter what?

One of the biggest frustrations I have with the 7800x3d is the constant yoyoing of the clock speeds even when gaming, since you can’t overclock the 7800x3d, I know you can’t lock the clock speed, I was wondering if it’s possible with the 9800x3d?

I remember when overclocking my i7 8700k, it would be a stable 4.9Ghz no matter what I did, was wondering if it’s the same with amd processors?
