My 7600x is stable with pbo limits on auto and a moderate per core -CO. I’m just learning about ppt, tdc, edc - Seems to be the last bit in PBO I have yet to understand.
PBO limits on Motherboard profile: ppt is 162w, but hovers around 120. On auto: ppt is 142w, but gets up in the high 130s.
There’s a manual option, but I’ve seen ppt 120, 84, 160; all over the place. I’m pretty lost on tdc and edc too, but I know they are related. One’s a max, and the other is a boost max V?
It’s perfectly stable on the auto option, and I’d like to set it manually, but the motherboard setting says it’s above stock and it stinks!
What’s the max PBO limits for 7600x + 650i chipset? I was thinking ppt 162, tdc 120, edc 140? Shot in the dark!
Also, does boost clock actually do anything? Negative or positive? I’ve been through four of these chips (long story) and the boost function either crashes the system, or seems to have no effect.
