I’ve only ever torrented with my Mac Laptop the last 20 years because I never had a desktop. I still use Tranmission on the mac laptop and it works perfectly.

But now I have a NAS and a Plex Server on my PC and I very naively stuck with Transmission.

It’s been a nightmare. Downloads not showing up after grabbing the magnet link, file sound “dings” happening well before the visual download bar is complete. It’s super janky.

Is Qbittorrent the way to go?

I’m 37 and haven’t tried anything except Transmission.

Here is what I do. I torrent straight to my PC’s m.2 drive, then I transfer over to my NAS. That works fine for me for now. I just want a reliable client at this point. Thanks.
